Maximum Work Flow, Minimal Head Count

by Marie C. Baca - by Marie C. Baca - BNET.com

By any chance, has your organization asked you to do more work with less head count? Funny: Ours has, too. If you haven’t already found yourself turning to independent contractors for increasingly mission-critical tasks, don’t worry. You will.

The reasons are simple: Freelancers cost less (no benefits, and you can hire them and let them go with the ebb and flow of the work), and there are plenty of contractors with industry-specific experience on the market these days. But working with contractors has its challenges, as anyone who has done it can attest. It’s a delicate process: You need to assess areas where outsourcing makes sense, negotiate solid agreements with contractors, and incorporate the contingent workforce into the day-to-day operations of your business—all while preserving you company’s culture.
It’s well worth the effort... Read more on BNET.com

Skills Finder™ Partners with Chaperon, LLC, to Offer Secure Software Development Services

Skills Finder™ has announced a partnership deal with Chaperon, LLC, which will allow it to offer its customers secure software development services. The new offerings will allow Skills Finder’s customers to enjoy the benefits of a flexible workforce and worldwide labor pools without the risk of losing valuable source code intellectual property (IP).

I am very excited to be able to offer these new solutions to businesses that depend on their source code intellectual property to compete and survive. By protecting their IP from intentional or unintentional abuse from creation and transport to storage and retrieval, we can give them peace of mind and a competitive advantage.

Skills Finder™ will add four of Chaperon’s patent-pending technologies to its current portfolio:

Chaperon Secure Development Environment allows companies to give developers access to source code IP in a secure development environment that makes it virtually impossible to copy or pirate at any stage of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Transparent to end users and software developers (programmers), only authorized parties can work with the code to perform authorized operations. That means that remote employees and outsourcing or off-shoring partners can develop, modify, add, compile and debug encrypted source without the risk of copying or piracy enroute or onsite.

Chaperon Secure Vaulted Source Code Repository allows owners of source code IP to securely set up a central or distributed repository that can be updated regularly and in real time. This solution is ideal for companies that rely on distributed and/or outsourced software development teams, but insist on the highest level of protection for their source code IP.

Chaperon Secure Active Source Code Escrow allows owners of source code IP to use Chaperon Enabled Independent Technology Escrow providers to set up a central repository that is updated regularly.

Chaperon Secure Inspecting Station is ideal for inspecting source code IP during project sizing/quoting, due diligence, M&A or litigation. This secure environment allows experts to interact and inspect the source code without being able to copy or compromise it.

About Chaperon, LLC

Chaperon, LLC, http://www.chaperon-secure.net/, offers a unique portfolio of technology solutions that protect and manage source code Intellectual Property (IP) at every stage of the software development life cycle (SDLC) – no matter where it travels or who is working on it. Source code IP is protected from creation and transport to storage and retrieval whether it remains in-house, is outsourced, or sent offshore. Chaperon’s patent-pending technologies enable any business to safeguard the information that is vital to its survival and competitive viability while lowering security costs, enjoying the benefits of a flexible workforce, and taking advantage of worldwide labor pools without the risks.
